General information

Dr. Sean Yuan is a bariatric surgeon specializing in minimally invasive weight loss surgery and medical weight management for patients in Pottstown and the surrounding areas. He is committed to helping patients overcome weight challenges and assist them in achieving long term success.

Dr. Yuan graduated from Beijing Medical University’s School of Medicine before completing a general surgery residency at Lankenau Hospital and Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital – both right here in the Keystone State. He then went on to complete a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship training at Richmond’s Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.

As a board-certified surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Yuan is dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations of his patients. He has extensive experience in a wide range of minimally invasive weight loss procedures, including the LAP-BAND procedure, roux-en-y gastric bypass, and sleeve gastrectomy. Patients who undergo these laparoscopic procedures often recover with fewer complications and less post-surgical discomfort than those who undergo traditional surgical techniques.
