東河社區位於苗栗縣南庄鄉境內，是一個山地村落，最早為賽夏族人居住，稱此地為「瓦祿﹝walo'﹞」，是蜜蜂及糖之意。面積約76平方公里，全村共有410戶，約1,200人，包含賽夏族、客家、泰雅族共居於此，相處融合，呈現出各族群特有文化傳統及宗教信仰，美麗而特殊的文化風貌，值得大家來探訪與細細品嚐。
