General information
頭城地區的開發，比起台灣西部平原的拓墾較晚，卻是蘭陽平原開蘭首邑。「頭城鎮史館」原為日治時期頭城國小舊校長宿舍所整修完成的，以檜木及杉木築成二坡切妻斜頂之獨棟式官舍。屋頂本為日式黑瓦，牆身為編竹夾泥牆，外觀施押條雨淋板，地面加高以利防潮。室內空間主要包括玄關、居間、座敷…等，並以緣側（廊）與後院相互連接。除玄關為木質外，其地板都舖設榻榻米，為典型日式住宅。鎮史館的成立，整合了全鎮人文
