位於山城東勢小鎮的「阿木大眾餐館」創立於民國47年，已有近60年歷史，早期中橫公路剛開通時到位居中橫入口的阿木享用排骨飯是許多做勞力工作的人最大享受，阿木師靠著獨門拿手菜創造傳奇，其中最有名的菜色即是「排骨飯」，帶骨里脊肉排逐一拍打斷筋，獨家配方醬料醃製高溫油炸，特調滷汁慢火滷成，搭配酸菜、青菜、蘿蔔煮，懷舊的古早味便當。 另外還有特色菜「芋泥鴨方」，做工繁複的風味菜，鴨子先調味慢滷再去骨，芋頭蒸熟搗泥調味，兩著鋪於鐵盤冰涼後拍粉再炸，上桌前切塊吃起來濃濃芋香中帶有特殊的鴨肉鹹香。另外在東勢小鎮興建一座六星級會館，回饋鄉親一甲子栽培，讓在阿木的新人能在家鄉以平實的酒席價格享受與大都會同步的最現代化婚禮。
